Default cPanel keeps reverting branding changes [case 59099]

Everytime we make edits inside the branding editor, the next day I'll return and pretty much all the changes we made in the previous day are gone, its missing our custom header and icons.

Why does it keep doing this and how can we fix this?

Happening to me too. Regenerating sprites seems to fix it, but it does not stick. It reverts in less than a day.

Not only do my changes revert back to defaults, now they don't change at all when I re-upload the correct files.

This all began with the 11.32.2 build.

The odd thing is that the files look correct when I'm in the branding editor, but when I actually load cPanel, the default logo image appears instead of the custom one that I uploaded.

We had a ticket open (Ticket# 2584706) about this. Here was the determination as to what was happening.

"... it has come to light that there is a bug in cPanel which is likely responsible for this. The bug causes the rebuild_sprites (responsible for theme images) script to ignore reseller branding and revert to the root branding. As the rebuild_sprite script is run each night as part of the update check, unfortunately that means the only workaround for now is to disable automatic updates. After that, a reseller can go to the branding editor in WHM, and click the rebuild sprites button there. That should properly update the branding with their own logos again, and with automatic update disabled, it should stay that way. You will want to keep an eye out, as a proper fix for this should be made available with the release of 11.32.3.x of cPanel/WHM. Once that (or a newer) version is released, you'll want to reenable updates, or update manually and ensure that the branding is still being maintained."

Any idea on when a fix might be released as it is becoming incredibly annoying?

This has been happening for years, please fix. I will open another ticket but this is not a server issue, this is a cpanel issue on all servers. Uploading new files is not consistent.

What we need is to know how to manually upload the images, your branding system is not reliable.

For me, this is still an issue!

    WHM 11.32.5 (build 11)
CENTOS 6.3 x86_64 standard on server
Every time cPanel updates over night, I lose all my branding icons and they revert to default. Other style properties remain the same though, like CSS etc. I am not using the default style, I created and uploaded a new branding style, and clicked "Apply to All Accounts" and "Set Default for New Accounts". I also disabled all other styles and left only that one as enabled.

Any way to fix this problem?
