    Default cPanel languge localization

    Hi all,

I am using WHM as the webhosing reseller (I bought space on webserver of my webhostin company and I can seel this space for my customers) and I have a problem with language localization of cPanel for my customers.

I need localization to another language as is oficialy provided by cPanel.

I has read info on cPanel Community Language Resource - cPanel Inc. and in this thread (http://forums.cpanel.net/f6/how-enab...nel-78379.html) that it is possible by translation through WHM (optimal is from official english versio). I am able do this myself, but I am not able find this option in my WHM.

I have been talking with my company about this. I thought that problem is in my WHM rights which is setupped by my webhosting company, but I obtain this answer:

"sorry we can't do anything on our end. This is a cPanel & WHM issue. We can direct your request to them and see if they can do anything to help out."

Is it right? I am waiting little bit long, so I am not satisfied with this answer.

Can someone help me with this isue?

    Thanx.

As a reseller you may be limited to what you can and can't do on that server. This isn't a limit with cPanel but something your provider setup. If they won't allow you access to create your own language file, get your own server or even a VPS so you can.

Are you looking to create your own language files or use one of our official language files we distribute with cPanel/WHM for your accounts? Or are you asking about something else?

    Hi,

I would like make my own translation because slovak language is not in official pakcage with cpanel (also I can release it for you as official part of language packs for cPanel in the future).

    Why are you asking?

    Have a nice day

In that case, if you have root access to WHM, you can go to WHM -> Languages -> Create/Clone a Language File. You can copy an existing file (such as english-utf8) and name your copy "Slovak."

You can then use WHM to edit your language file by going to WHM -> Languages -> Edit a Language File. Using "Live Edit" is an easy way to see where phrases are in the cPanel interface so you can translate messages within the context they are used. However, the editor on the bottom half of that "Edit a Language File" screen lists all phrases available for translation. I recommend using that tool to ensure everything is translated before you begin making this translation available to your users.

We have a user-contributed language file website (cPanel Community Language Resource - cPanel Inc.) where you can submit your translation. You can find information on submitting your translation at: Submitting Language Files - cPanel Inc.

At this time, if you translate using the WHM interface, be sure that all phrases are translated and you will not need to worry about this.

X and X2 are now fully deprecated. Those old themes will not be updated to use Cpanel::Locale, introduced in 11.25.

It is strongly recommended that anyone still using the X or X2 themes move to the X style of the X3 theme.
