    Default Customizing XSkin

I like XSkin very much but I have the problem with this encoding which is new at X-skin. I don't mind to have your copyright text and stuff but I need to translate main index page to my local language and now I can not do thia anymore so i must stay on old X-skin where I was able to do this. Beside translation I need little to change colors so it will match my web hosting bussiness page.

Is there any way to get header.html and index.html decoded to do such changes ?

There is a place I know of to decode the pages and it is possible but I'm not going to say because I feel it would spoil the whole point of encoding them in the first place!

To let you know it is possible. But any person who enjoy's berts themes would not give away such information, but you can find the information on your own.

Sort of like fishing without any bait, like knowing there is fish in the lake but how to catch them?

    Yea, it is very possible.
I made a quick php script in less than 30 minutes that decodes all three encoded pages in less than a second.
It's not very big or complicated.

The ONLY suggestion I can make is to actually look at the code and figure out what it is doing.

It can be easily unencoded if you know a little bit about JavaScript. Unfortunately as time goes by, the X SKINS I think will no longer be free if people continue to modify them and redistribute them like they have done with previous versions.

I guess you guys will have to enjoy it will it lasts

I think you should add a PayPal donations button or something similar to your theXskins.com site, because I can't speak for others, but I know i would certainly donate to help keep your XSkin projects alive!

Keep up the good work bert!

In a way of customizing Xskin I performed complete translation for my language. I extract tar.gzip archive to reach all html files so I don't know now how to put it back to this type of archive or even better how to make themeball. Or should I just upload like this extracted?

Beside this, I have problem extracting two files from tar.gzip file with WinRAR. At the end of extraction I get diagnostic error that files Xskin\iconic and Xskin\indexmanager\images can not be opened. I looked for this files when they are still in archive and WinRAR show them at this path but both files are size 0. What are this files and how to extract them.

I know quite a few people that use 7-Zip to tar up skins to use. The url is: http://www.7-zip.org/ , the other issues I cannot help with, sorry.

    Good Day.
