How to brand your server cpanel login screens.
I've done the following after seeing that whm brander doesn't always work.
The following is server wide, not tested with resellers.
Does this hold still after a cpanel update/upgrade? I don't know yet.
make your 5 header images
width 145 pixels x height 124 pixels
named :
top_02_1.gif
top_02_2.gif
top_02_3.gif
top_02_4.gif
top_02_5.gif
top_02_bg.gif
make your 5 mail header images
width 145 pixels x height 70 pixels
mail images:
top_01-mail_1.gif
top_01-mail_2.gif
top_01-mail_3.gif
top_01-mail_4.gif
top_01-mail_5.gif
top_01-mail_bg.gif
the back ground can be the width that you want,
These images load into a set size table, and must be named as above,
however they still can be jpg files, just named gif.
zipped up and ftp the zip to your server.
mv /home/youruser/public_ftp/Archive.zip /usr/local/cpanel/base/unprotected/images
cd /usr/local/cpanel/base/unprotected/images
unzip Archives.zip
say yes to each over write or add a -o to the unzip ie: unzip -o file.
mv /home/youruser/public_ftp/Archive_mail.zip /usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail/x/images/
cd /usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail/x/images/
unzip Archive_mail.zip
now log in to your server, you should see a new login screen.
Request: when loging out the user is sent to another screen "You have been logged out. "
from the webmaillogout.cgi I would like to brand this screen as well, or have the logout go to the login screen itself.
