    Default New WHM Skin

    Hi everyone!

During my spare time over the past couple of weeks, I have managed to create this new WHM skin. It is not spectacular in any way, in fact it is pretty plain and uses small fonts - I totally hate large fonts

Feel free to use it for free!

    To view a screen shot:
    http://pronic.biz/X/whmXskin_preview.jpg

    To download it:
    http://pronic.biz/X/whmXskin-1.0.tar.gz

    INSTALLATION:
This file will not be recognized by WHM as a WHM theme ball, therefore to install it do this:

    1. Download the file to your local system.
    2. Upload the file to your server via FTP or any other method.
    3. SSH to your server and copy the file to the following directory:
    /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/themes
    4. Navigate to the directory above and type in the following:
    tar -zxpf whmXskin-1.0.tar.gz
    5. Login to your WHM, click on Change WHM Theme and select whmXskin.

Let me know what you think and also if you find any bugs.

    Enjoy!

I love it. Very clean, very simple. I'll be sure to keep you up to date in terms of bugs, etc.

Do you plan to keep the skin updated for new versions of CPanel and new features that may be added later? Or is that automatic? I don't know.

    Hi James,

    Thanks for the comments

I do plan to keep it updated. I am trying to have Nick or the Cpanel team add this to their skins so that it can be updated automagically We'll see what happens. I will (perhaps) in the future also make a cpanel skin to go along with this one.

Nice work, Bert! Haven't tried it yet, but I like what I see.

Give it a try Jason, it works pretty smooth on IE, Netscape and even Opera

This is exactly what a WHM skin should be like: simple, small and clean. Excellent work. Hopefully, this skin will be picked-up as an official skin with auto-update capabilities.

    Keep up the great work

    People,

The skin has been added to the &Addon WHM Themes& list in WHM. You can now install it from there!

Thanks Nick and staff, I appreciate it

I believe it is the best WHM theme I have seen. Bluetrix is the best cpanel theme.

    Hi,

I get this message when I try to install the theme:

Updating Xskin.... @ERROR: Unknown module 'whm-Xskin' Done
    Updating simple.... Done

    Process Complete

Then look at the installed themes and, well it isn't there!!

    Kind Regards,

    Neil

You dont see it there because you just posted you couldnt update. Plus, actually read the install instructions on the post

The problem with updating is fixed, the other problem was relating to a clients choping cart catalogue causing an error.

I can see it in the Addon WHM Themes section, then when I select install and keep upto date I get the error message:

Updating Xskin.... @ERROR: Unknown module 'whm-Xskin' Done
    Updating simple.... Done

    Process Complete

But the skin is not installed, I'm running Cpanel 5.0.0-E132.

    Kind Regards,

    Neil
