This functionality has been added. Should be in all servers within the next two or three cPanel updates.

Hello,
I am using 8.5.3_S3, but I still do not see the change password function available in Xmail skin? Any idea which updates will allow the change of password for Xmail skin?
Bert can you define soon please?Originally posted by bert
It will be added pretty soon.
Am I correct that I am impatient if I expect the period from August 2001 to January 2004 to be to short to fall within the definition of "soon" from the point of the cpanel programmers
WHM 8.5.4 cPanel 8.5.4-R72
RedHat 9 - WHM X v2.1.1

LOL. That was added like 4 months ago, about 3 days after my initial post.

Bert I do apologize, I have made a big mistake by taking your first registered Date as Date of posting. I have just cut myself a big piece of humble pie. SORRY for the sarcasm - my mistake.
WHM 8.5.4 cPanel 8.5.4-R72
RedHat 9 - WHM X v2.1.1
Can you however please tell me if my version is a to old version and what I have to do to get the version which has it included?
TIA
Ralf
By the way nothing happens on http://whmdemo.cpanel.net:2086/ just page cannot be displayed after 5minutes.

You need to make sure you have the xmail skin version 2.2.1. That one has the change password feature. I don't know the reasons why it wouldn't have been pushed to your machine, but you might want to contact your distributor or cPanel support for help on that.

Thank you Bert, but know I am really confused? I had turned off automatic update because we had problems with receiving emails set-up on second. IP number, everytime an update comes through. (can be rectified by rebooting Pop 3server-but you know about it only when receiving emails fails on you.) By then you already have customers complaining.
I consider this a bug in cpanels update precedure.
I now have "Account password change" feature but I get reported that my version is now
WHM 8.5.1 cPanel 8.5.3-S3
RedHat - WHM X v2.1.1
So my WHM appear to have gone to an older version and supposingly no change to WHM X version (but that is not true)
I had before:
WHM 8.5.4 cPanel 8.5.4-R72
RedHat 9 - WHM X v2.1.1
Can you please tell me what is going on?
How can it happen that I have gone back on version, but yet have newer features?

Hello,
You need to change your update preferences in your WHM to Release and then you'll have the latest release version. You went backwards because you went from Release to Stable during your last upgrade.
Chris
Thank you Chris, that's exactly what I did.
