    cPanel/Enkompass Access Level

    Default Some questions

    Hi everyone,

I would first apologize for my disastrous English .
I am currently looking for an all-in-one hosting solution for Linux servers. I has currently two servers who running CentOS 5.2 64.

I am very interested by the CPanel/WHM solution because it is much more accessible and easy to use than Plesk. Nevertheless, I would have several questions:

    - Despite all my research, I did not find a suitable response. Does CPanel / WHM manages IP Load Balancing? It is a very important function for me because some sites may have mounted over for a few days of 400/500% or more. If the function does not exist, it is provided and when will it arrive?

    - I plan to use the AWBS payment system. Have any body ever used? Does it run correctly? Is it capable to allocating customers on multiple servers ?

    - To what level the user interface is it customizable ? I would have liked to match the appearance of Cpanel with my website.

    - Is it possible to add support for other languages (Python, Perl, Mono) in CPanel and only use for some packages? Also, is it possible to use several versions of PHP and offered the choice of version with the user interface?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I apologize for my delayed response. I typically handle sales inquiries sent to sales@cpanel.net before I browse our community forums.

I am unsure what you mean by "IP Load Balancing." However, we do not natively support load balancing at this time. Despite this, many of our customers have created their own load balancing solutions where they place multiple cPanel/WHM servers behind a load balancing appliance/server and then frequently synchronize the contents of the servers. If you need assistance with knowing which files need to be synchronized, feel welcome to email me at sales@cpanel.net

I am not familiar with AWBS myself, so I don't know if it can allocate customers on multiple servers. However, if you need a list of billing applications known to work well with cPanel/WHM (such as AWBS), please let me know.

The cPanel user interface is very customizable. Using our branding editor to match the appearance of cPanel to the appearance of your website is easy if you are familiar with HTML and CSS. I'll be glad to assist you with this process.

Python and Perl are supported by means of CGI by default in cPanel.

Mono is only recommended for those familiar with the capabilities and limitations of Mono, but can be easily installed by going to the WHM interface and under Software, clicking Apache Update. If prompted to upgrade cPanel/WHM, please do so and return to this screen. Then proceed through the build process to step 5, where you can select Mono.

PHP concurrency is supported. You can have one version of PHP 4 and one version of PHP 5 running simultaneously. Users can select which version they wish to use by going to the cPanel interface and clicking on PHP Configuration and selecting the PHP version at the top of the screen. This can be configured using the same "Apache Update" screen in WHM.

Feel welcome to continue this conversation via sales@cpanel.net for quicker responses.
