    Default Using the docs

    I was wondering if the documentation for cPanel end user is freely redistributable? I want to set up a support center for the end users, but I don't have the time to produce a complete set of instructions and documentations. Do I need to link them back to the cPanel site, or just provide a credit?

    You can provide cPanel Doc's link cPanel User Guide to your user.

    Well, I need to make sure that local documentation are also available, just an alternative in case they didn't want to go through all the linking.

    in Legal Notices - cPanel Inc. they say:
    Unless otherwise expressly specified, the cPanel Content, Services and the Site are for your personal and non-commercial use, and you may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from the Site without the written permission of cPanel.

    For those that find this thread in Google - generally speaking, we shy away from permitting this. This is mostly due to us updating these docs on a nearly daily basis as a result of feedback we receive, new features that are incorporated into the software and other things we're doing to constantly improve documentation (e.g. the new how-to guides). This helps ensure when people are looking for help with cPanel software, they are getting the latest and most accurate information.

    However, you are always welcome to email us and we can pass things along to the appropriate staff who can approve such things.
