I can't figure out why I can't post address's in the address book... I use Horde Email setup by Cpanel. When I submit to add an address entry I get the following error:

There was an error adding this object. Contact your system administrator for further help.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks!!

    horde problems!

I am having the same problem. Can't create an contact in the address book. At one time it worked, then it just stopped. Maybe from a Cpanel upgrade????

    jdarow,

CPanel was able to fix this issue. A guy named Darren actually was able to fix it. I asked Darrent what when wrong, and he wrote:

"Apparently on a handful of servers the tubra.
objects table is getting dropped, however our
;developers have yet to find out why. It's&nb
    sp;only happened on about 4 servers (that&nb
sp;we know of) out of thousands so they
haven't had much luck in reproducing it. If&n
bsp;it comes back let us know."

    Thanks,
    Darren

To correct the problem with the Horde address book not working correctly, you will need to SSH into your server as root, and type "mysql" to get a mysql prompt. Enter the following queries, and your problem should be fixed:

    CREATE TABLE horde.turba_objects (object_id varchar(32) PRIMARY KEY,owner_id varchar(255),object_name varchar(255),object_alias varchar(32),object_email varchar(255),object_homeAddress varchar(255),object_workAddress varchar(255),object_homePhone varchar(25),object_workPhone varchar(25),object_cellPhone varchar(25),object_fax varchar(25),object_title varchar(32), object_company varchar(32),object_notes text); insert into mysql.tables_priv values("%","horde","horde","turba_objects","root@localhost",now()+0,"Select,Insert,Update,Delete",""); flush privileges;

    Has anyone else tried this?
    Did it work for you?
Just want to make sure before we jump into that.

Worked for me, but I guess you mean anyone other than me. Think I might be trying to screw up your machine? The above instructions came directly from cpanel support. If you open a cpanel ticket, you will probably get a reply that has those instructions in it pretty quickly. My e-mail I received from them seemed to be a template. I figured I would post the instructions on the forum so that anybody having the same problem would not have to bug cpanel about it and then wait for a response.

All of the above can be copied and then paste on one line at the mysql command prompt.

LOL.... well sorry didn't mean to sound so brash.... I actually ran it late last night and it worked perfectly.
Just for the hell of it I restarted imap and mysql, probably didn't need to.
But thanks for the post, it does work and can be done in less than 5 seconds!
    Awesome!!!!
    Happy clients again

ERROR 1050: Table 'turba_objects' already exists

I tried running that command to create the table and got this back:

ERROR 1050: Table 'turba_objects' already exists

And people still can't add anything to their address books. I'm finding more and more of our servers are effected.

Thanks Nat. The fix worked for me.

FYI, this bug only affected one of my servers. The others were fine after the update.
