Hi, I`m wondering is it possible to use Main Shared Virtual Host IP for hosting a domain that uses an IP address i.e. accessible with http://123.12.12.12 and still use Main Shared Virtual Host IP for hosting other domains using named virtual accounts.

    Thanks

You can Access the site with main shred IP ina different way that is ::

    http://123.12.12.12/~username

Where the username is the username of the site admin ....you created.

Sure, but isn`t that the same as accessing a site created by me for a named account with mod_userdir enabled.

What I mean is, when I access my Main Shared Virtual Host IP http://123.12.12.12/ I get the cpanel screen with "There is no website configured at this address." coming up, how do I configure a website at that address and have a cpanel for it. I guess I would also need to enter 123.12.12.12 as the A record at my registry for the domain I would use for it.

Maybe I`m confused here and the only websites I can set up are named accounts or accounts using a different ip address to the Main Shared Virtual Host IP.

Somebody put me out of my misery :)

    Thanks
