I am looking to create a cheap script installer. It will be much less than Fantastico.

If it is possible, can someone tell me how to create a MySQL DB using PHP? I don't think i can do this using just PHP because cPanel does not give sufficient permissions to mysql users. I know I can go the "File Get Contents" route, but thats not secure.
    Thanks for your help.

Are you creating this as a cPanel/WHM plug-in or a stand-alone PHP script? As a user, you will be unable to create databases in the traditional PHP way. However, you may wish to use the XML-API to call an appropriate API2 function that would create the database. The downfall to this: one must be a reseller to use the XML-API.
