    Okay,

Anyone else experiencing if you uninstall phpBB and advanced guestbook from the addon scripts that it automatically installs everytime you update cpanel? It is driving me nuts because phpbb is a plague and advanced guestbook is nothing I want on there...

Security is not done by loading craploads of useless software on a system. Man, okay back to uninstalling phpBB again.

There is a checkbox somewhere in the settings that you have to check for it not to revert back on upgrade. Let me dig around for it...

Perhaps it is "cPanel Package Updates" under "Update Config?"

unchecked it already and clicked update :)

the funny thing is after an update it installs it and rechecks the box... kind of irritating :)

What should happen is the following:

Click on Addon Scripts under CPanel in WHM
Unclick install and keep updated then save. After an update this reenables itself.

    Go on, have a guess
If you believe that you've found a bug, then check whether it already exists in bugzilla and if not, create an entry so that cPanel are aware.

    Yeah I figured :(
I will do that sooner or later. Just need the time to go report the bug with enough detail so they don't close me down :)
