From within the web interface, there is no option to create a new MySQL database, although the rest of the links/icons are there for remote servers, mysql processes, phpmyadmin, etc.

Also when I go into PHPmyAdmin, there is no option for creating a new database from there either. From previous posts, it looks like this is by design.

Does anyone have thoughts or ideas why there would be no link for creating new databases?

    Thank you,
    Tim

What is your cPanel & WHM version number?

Are you using the cPanel X3 theme, or a different theme?

Are you able to access the MySQL® Database Wizard in cPanel?

Do you have "root" (i.e., Administrator) access to the server, including both SSH and WebHost Manager (WHM) access?

The ability to create databases and database users remains intact in cPanel. The only difference, as noted in the release notes, is that of phpMyAdmin.

Creating MySQL databases and database users is possible via the following areas in cPanel (with linked documentation):
    cPanel: Databases >> MySQL Databases
cPanel: Databases >> MySQL Database Wizard

If there is any difficulty using the aforementioned areas in cPanel to create MySQL databases or manage MySQL users please submit a support request.
