    Default Webmail Login

    Hi,

    Is there anyway to make Squirrelmail the default webmail client?
    I've already disabled Horde & Neomail in whm.

    What I want is, when someone goes to http://www.8inet.com/webmail, and entered their login info, they're directly forwarded to Squirrelmail's inbox, instead of having to click on the Squirrelmail icon.

    Here is one possibility:

    1. Create a subdomain (webmail.domain.com)

    2. put an index file in the webmail directory that has a frame inside. The src of the frame should point to:

    http://domain.com:2095/3rdparty/squi.../src/login.php

    or

    https://domain.com:2096/3rdparty/squ.../src/login.php

    3. Done

    yes... you can change the dir routing in htconf file... pretty easy actually.
    Just the other thing is that you have to supply a link so they can get into the pasword change function or figure out another way to do it.

    how i did it:

    made an alias - /squirrel/

    I installed my own version of squirrelmail. That way, i solved a few problems:

    -no problem with firewall, as access to webmail is now on port 80, not 2095/6.
    -i can modify squiirelmail as i want (themes, plugins, logging of logins)
    -i always have the newest version, and i don;t have to worry cpnale will update and destroy all mi customization

    Change Header of webmail,

    root@server [/usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail/x]#
    ./ ../ css/ footer.html header.html images/ style.css
    root@server [/usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail/x]#
