To answer my own question, no it has not been fixed. I just tried the new account packager and it still fails.

I already resolved it. It was the kernel but I hadn't changed grub to boot off of it.
Must have been one of the datacenter techs.
Recently (and it coincides with a cpanel upgrade) my dual processor server is only reporting one CPU.
