I upgraded Apache using WHM and ticked FrontPage support. Since doing this, the FrontPage extensions are not working on one of my clients sites.
The client uses FrontPage for forms as well as a counter.
www.granada-and-scorpio-online.com is his site - he has added a temp counter...
I am having some problems that have been going on for a few weeks.
When using Mailwasher, the headers are downloaded fine, but when I then load up Outlook 2003 to retrieve my emails, it often times out retrieving from the domains on the site.
It's usually just 1 domain it has problems...
The last 2 days has seen one of the accounts on my server hit 11gb bandwidth according to WHM's bandwidth viewer - MUCH MUCH more than a normal month of bandwidth. He has no downloads available, and only 179 visitors this month. No open email relays either.
I deleted the bandwidth log...
it's happening to me too - but I have MySQL 4 (it installed it last night!). VERY VERY annoying!
Also, it killed apache 'cos it made 2 entries in httpd.conf that wouldn't load some libraries (mod_mysql.so and a .c I think)
I have a user who is hoping to use JSP, and I noticed that there is an Apache+Tomcat installer for cpanel.
Are there any issues with it?
He also mentioned he needs java too (think he means serverside instead of client side).
Any help is appreciated :)
Is there anyway to set up Cpanel so that when you send an email, your client HAS to use SMTP Authentication so it uses a username and password?
I just tried http://www.abuse.net/relay.html and was shocked to see that my server could be open for spammers!
I checked exim_mainlog and there are loads of these errors...
2002-07-08 14:36:56 17RZXe-000108-00 smtp.wanadoo.fr [184.108.40.206]: Connection timed out
2002-07-08 14:36:56 17RZXe-000108-00 == [email protected] T=remote_smtp defer (110): Connection timed out
Ages ago I was having a lot of hack attempts from people at wanadoo.fr and I *think* using some advice from here, blocked access from those people using that ISP.
How do I release it now?
I deleted all of PortSentry's .ignore entries and restarted it, but no luck.
