Hi all
I wanna restore on of my backups.
1- I have one folder with permission 000 (blocked by host provider, because of mass spam email from this folder). Does this affect procedure of restoring backup ? I wanna this folder be overwritten, too.
2- Must i delete all files before restoring backup OR procedure of restoring backup does it itself?

Sorry for very beginning questions.
Regards.

Hello :)

You would have to consult with your hosting provider if you want that directory removed or backed up during the backup process. You do not have to remove files before restoring a home directory in cPanel, but note that your hosting provider must restore a full backup.

Thank you.

Thanks michael
In my cPanel Interface, I have cPremote Backup manager as follows. Can't i restore a backup myself?

Daily backups available from Jun 09 ,2014
Friday backups available from Sep 12 ,2014
Monday backups available from Sep 10 ,2014
Weekly backups available from Jun 08 ,2014

As you're a net specialist, what's your idea about these backups? No backup for Aug. or July!!!! is it usual?

It looks like that's a third-party plugin that is not developed by cPanel. Have you contacted your hosting provider to ask about this?

Thank you.

Yes, I've contacted. Unfortunately, they're not doing well in supporting their customers and answering tickets.

Anyway, I think it's very unusual to have backup for 2 days ago and 3 month ago. Am i right?
