10,000 files in the top WWW folder

    Hi

    My site may soon have approx 10,000 files in the WWW folder.

    1. Is this an accepted practice?
    2. Will I have problems with the cPanel file manager?

    www is a shortcut to public_html.

    Yes, probably. At the very least it will take longer to open/view this directory via FTP or FileMan. Not to mention tougher to find that one file you want.
