15 day trail on my IP, now what?

Ok i got one of those 15 day trials but now what do i do how do i get CPanel? Do i need to install anything? If so where do i get it?

Go to the store at cpanel.net and buy or lease a licence from them, or you can grag a licence from one of their resellers. Once you pay and register your servers IP address with them, your trial licence will be changed to an active licence after a few hours or so.

I think he is looking for what to do after registering his IP.

From your server:

cd /home
mkdir cpins
cd cpins
wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
sh latest

Enjoy, the script will take a few hours depending on your network.

After complete:

/scripts/upcp --force

then log into WHM http://ipaddress:2086 , complete the post setup then from there SSL should be working and log into WHM https://ipaddress:2087 to create your domain then https://ipaddress:2083 to manage your domain through cpanel.

PS: make sure your /etc/resolver.conf points to your gateway or another server you can use to resolve with until you have DNS setup locally.

I dont think they will do that for trial license

I have applied with cpanelsource.com for a trial account but they didn't send me anything except a letter saying they will verify the order.

Any other offerings of trial cPanel.

I need a trial account as the server I am getting from ovh does allow only of 4 partitions, and I am not sure which 4 of the suggested 7 partitions to leave over.
