Hi All,

I have a domain under a reseller "xyz.com" this domain is already registered with apache with some xgb space. I want to assiciate a different package to this same domain(xyz.com) but when i do so from whmcs it returns me error saying that domain configuration present in Apache. How do i overcome this obstacle as i need to deliver a solution to a customer.

So xyz.com comes under a reseller and is currently just a hosting account. I have mail only package which on customer wants for this xyz.com domain . How can this be done ? i tried using subdomain as a account but then all email accounts become [email protected] which i dont want.

Is there a solution for this ?

TIA,
Rohan

So you basically needs xyz.com which is under a reseller to a different pakage ? Will it still be under the same reseller ? Are you trying from reseller's login for whmcs or as admin ? What is the full error getting while trying to change the pakage ?

I think the thread was confusing. Let me start again, xyz.com is under a reseller on my cPanel server and its emails are hosted on BigRock. Now this reseller wants to move his emails from BigRock and needs a mail only package for xyz.com on my server. When i try to create one from whmcs it throws an error saying that xyz.com is already configured in Apache Configuration. So i tried to create a new account with email.xyz.com and started creating email accounts but these email accounts are [email protected] which i dont want.
So long story short, is there a way where in i can merge this new mail only account with existing hosting account under this reseller ? I am using whmcs with root credentials.

TIA,
Rohan

Hello,

It's not possible to have multiple cPanel accounts for the same domain name (one for hosting and one for email). You'd simply manage the email accounts using the "Email Accounts" option in cPanel, or through the Webmail interface after logging in with the email account username and password.

Thank you.
