I have the first domain set up www.example.com and am trying to set up www.exapmle2.com and when you type it in it comes up with a parent directory and cgi-bin.

In my file manager i have it set up as:
    trash
    .backup
    etc
    mail
    public_ftp
    public_html
    tmp
    www

inside the public_html and www i have www.example.com with all its files expanded i guess you would call it?
then inside of public_html i have the www.example2.com folder which has everything in there.
What am i doing wrong? Please let me know in laymens terms as i am not very savy with a computer. Where should the example2 folder go? oh and example2 is a phpp site if that makes any diff??

    Sorry for the long post
    Thanks a bunch
    Jason

Your main site will be under public_html and will include a cgi-bin folder. When you use Cpanel to add another domain it will be under public_html/newdomain and have a cgi-bin under the folder you select for the newdomain. It is accessible via folder from your master domain since it is an add-on, but will act as its own site as long as you put the files under that sub-folder.

    Thanks for the reply...
I went into the public_html folder but there was no newdomain folder?
    Some folders in there are:
    images
    logs
    private_html
    example2.com
    stats
    cgi-bin
and some other ones that start with a V
and then there are files from my other domain at the bottom?

Should i create a "newdomain" folder?

    Thanks again
    Jason

I am having the same problem

I am also trying to set up a second domain,

kris1351 you say that example2.com can act as its own site,

I have tried following your instructions but I am new to cpanel and don't fully understand.
when I try to create my second domain the URL I get is www.example1/example2.com

Is it possible to get the URL as www.example2.com

If so any instructions for a complete beginner.

    Thanks in advance
