2 name servers, same IP

    Is is possible to have 2 nameservers use the same IP. (ns1.*.com and ns2.*.com use the same ip) These will be personal nameservers so I wont have to worry about other registrars not supporting same IP NS.

    I searched the forums here with no avail.

    If your server has two ip address just use the other ip address, the second one is just incase the first name server goes down. Although this method won't save you if your DNS server goes down (which hardly happens anyway).

    Possible but doesn't give you any redundancy. There are a number of secondary dns providers (many for free) that will at least offer some backup to your primary dns.
