300,000 mailboxes

    how many email accounts do you have in one server?

    question:
    what kind of server (s) , do i need to sopport 300,000 mail boxes ?

    # processors
    # ram
    +antispam+antivirus


    and mailbox'es can insert into a bd?

    That's a questions that is impossible to answer since it depends on your users usage demographics. It would certainly have to be a very high spec one to cope with email processing, POP and IMAP load (and webmail load) plus also significant bandwidth and data transfer options to cope with the email throughput. If you're expecting all those accounts to be active you'd be looking at some kind of dedicated custom solution and perhaps a small server farm/cluster.

    What would definitely not be appropriate would be a cPanel environment because of the resource overheads.

    Hello,

    yes please explain the mailbox activity frequency. One server is definately not enough for 300000 mailboxes.
