301 redirect for SEO Question

    I looked through the thread : http://forums.cpanel.net/f34/redirect-loop-118985.html because I had a redirect problem giving a loop.
    The thread gave me the solution BUT reading other threads I have understood that a 301 redirect is better for informing the search engines..
    Any second opinion is welcome!

    No second opinion, 301 redirects are the preferred method for preserving search engine rankings.
