    I'm fairly new to cPanel/WHM and hosting in general... so please be gentle :)

    But I know that I need a 301 redirect... and I can't find any way to do this with cPanel. So far all I've seen is addon domains but the form of redirect is not a 301 redirect (I determined this by inspecting the httpd.conf for apache).

    The only way I can think of to accomplish what I want is to create an account for each domain that I want to redirect... and then manually add the 301 redirect statement for each domain.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

    Cliff.

    can it be done using cPanel only?

    Here's what I've added to my httpd.conf file, and this works perfectly...

    <VirtualHost xx.xx.xx.xx>
    ServerAlias oldsite.com
    ServerName www.oldsite.com
    redirect 301 / http://www.newsite.com/
    </VirtualHost>

    The problem is that I had to MANUALLY add this to the httpd.conf file and cPanel won't be able to pick up my customizations and could possibly overwrite them... is there anyway to accomplish the above using JUST cPanel?

    Thanks,
    Cliff.
