I was wondering if I could use a 3rd party file manager in replace of the file manager in cpanel. If so, what would be the web address I need to connect too.

    Thanks,

    I found it.

If your looking to move, copy, create files and directories just use a ftp client like CuteFTP or FileZilla. This is only if you don't want to use the File manager in Cpanel. To access your file with a 3rd party manager listed above you must create a user account in the ftp manager or use the one that you log into cpanel with, there is one caveat:

for example, if your username is admin, you must type in admin@yourdomain.com for the username or you can't login. The ftp server name is FTP.yourdomainname.com

    Thanks
