I'm looking for a way of speeding up the usage of some of the 3rdparty php scripts that are available through the backend. The users on some of the domains seem to like to use squirrelmail and on one horde (the slight resource hog) through the www.mydomain.com/webmail/ link (plus the occational use of backend programs like phpMyAdmin by those domain administrators)

After installing eaccelerator on the frontend apache server and seeing the large performance improvements. I was wanting to figure out a way of getting it running for these 3rdparty applications that run from the internal server. (It seems that it would make even more of a difference as the code for them would be shared through all the different domains)

Is there a good way of getting these scripts either running under the frontend server (essentially getting around the permissions issue of running applications that are owned by cpanel:cpanel), or turning on eaccelerator on the internal backend cpanel server in a way where it wouldn't be over written every time the server updates itself?
