403 errors-everybody's permissions messed up

    How do you change the owner for a single folder and its files in SSH?

    Actually I found it. Its really easy. :)

    Here is an example:
    chown -R hostuswe:hostuswe /home/hostuswe

    That would be with the "chown" command but generally only works if
    you are logged into the server as "root" usually.

    chown -R username:group (folder or files)

    NOTE: The -R option lets you recursively update all the files under a folder

    How do you fix everybody's permissions and change it for the public_html directory and the /home/username directory? I know you can change it to 755 but how do you automatically change it?
