Hi.
I have a hosting and the support seems quite limited and I'm not so good with cPanel, so need to learn.
I purchased a new domain and created a new database. This is a CMS hosting with WordPress. I have an earlier website working fine and am sharing this CMS hosting.
I sent the following message to the support team and got the following response.

Message sent
"Hi.
I just purchased xxxxxx.com and created a new domain and new database but can't access the site in WordPress. I'm not sure the new domain is attached to the new database either.
Is there some documentation to show this process or can you detail the remaining steps I need to get started with my new domain in WordPress without overwriting my oooooooo.com database please?"

Message Received
"Just make sure to keep the files in the proper directory."

So, I don't know what they are talking about basically. I have attached an image of my directory. Thank you for your help and expertise.

In the picture can be seen that in the new site directory there is no WordPress installation.

As @quietFinn noted it looks like the wordpress installation is in public_html, where if your new domain needs the installation it should be in /../public_html/newsite.tld/

The new site should be in its own directory, and its own installation of WordPress. From the screenshot I see that both sites are in the same directory, is that right ..?
Your site must be in directory: ~www/site1/wp-... and second: ~www/site2/wp-...
