Hi,

I create a new mailing list.
I then click edit on the mailing list, it opens a new window and I get a 404 error.

http://barracuda.dnsvelocity.com/mailman/admin/toytowntunes_toytowntunes.com

This works other servers we have, just the newest one is having the problem.

Any ideas ?

Since nobody had any suggestions, here is what I found out about this problem.

After creating a new mailing list, /etc/valiases is updated correctly. However, when you attempt to edit a mailing list you get a 404 with this URL:

http://domain.com/mailman/admin/testml_domain.com

However, simply replacing

http://domain.com/mailman/admin/testml_domain.com

with

http://mainserverdomain.com/mailman/admin/testml_domain.com

caused the page to load correctly. However, you will still get some 404s and need to change domain.com to mainserverdomain.com. At least, that did it for us.

If you have a better way or know how to fix this correctly, please tell. Otherwise, this is a good issue to have fixed for our clients.

I spoke too soon. Mailman is totally useless until this is fixed.

Would something like mod_rewrite work here?
