I'm a TOTAL noob. I'm just a website owner trying to send emails. I'm using SMTP connection (via third party client, FileMaker, mail app, or otherwise) to send emails using my cPanel email account. The messages are taking over 5-6 hours to send. What in the world is causing this delay? How can I fix this?
I have NO special settings in my cPanel email account and can't figure out WHY this is happening. ANY suggestions are appreciated.

Hey there! Without root access you likely won't be able to do much investigation on either of these issues, as you would need root access to check the mail logs on the system.

In general, there isn't anything on the server-side that would keep a message from being sent for 5-6 hours unless there are a very large number of emails in the queue that need to be processed.

I must have ROOT ACCESS since I'm the only one with access to this account (It's mine).

There are MAYBE 2 emails a day being sent through this account but yet it takes a minimum of 5 hours to arrive to the recipient :(

It actually sounds like you only have access to the one cPanel account. You'll need to ask your hosting provider to check these issues for you, as they would be able to examine the mail logs on the server and find the problem.
