We have 6 high end cpanel servers. Does anyone know if 6 cpanel servers can access 1 db server running a 64bit os + mysql5 and nothing else? Or do we need to deploy 6 db servers with 6 cpanel servers?

    Thanks

I don't see why you couldn't setup remote database for each server via whm. Of course you want to be sure each user has a unique name to avoid conflicts.

whm > sql services > Setup Remote MySQL server

Of course you would run this on each web server in order to setup the connection. I would only assume you calculated the power you might require collectively by the database server.

    good luck
