I have a 64bit CPU, but by default the datacenter installed the 32bit kernel (CENTOS 2.6)

is it worth installing the 64bit kernel, as in will i got a much better performance

or isnt it worth all the messing for what id get in return

    Thanks

No it isn't worth installing the 64bit OS at this time. Cpanel still runs in 32bit mode as do most hosting applications. There isn't a huge performance gain unless you are running applications that support 64bit and just bluntly the software developers are not moving fast on the conversion for Linux applications.
