You are runnning an older version of cPanel/WHM. (7.1.0-EDGE_18) You should upgrade to the 7.2.1 series soon by (clicking here)! The 7.2.1 update contains a new exim build which fixes a problem with Outlook(tm) XP and SMTP Auth.

Yeah, really. We are stuck in 6.x land and dont see anything for Freebsd and start to worry that we wont see anything else RELEASE or STABLE from now on.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense because we are paying money to cPanel just like all the Linux customers are so why can't we get something STABLE in return? I know they have a lot more Linux clients that FreeBSD, but FreeBSD is a much better O/S to use for hosting so why do they just come out with a new FreeBSD version 1 out of every 20 Linux releases?

I recently upgraded to the latest 7.x EDGE and haven't noticed any problems.

    Hmm..

    Since my upgrade to 7x

    1. Quota no longer works/is applied
(users have unlimited quota -- going to "disk usage" in CP simply shows nothing. Worked fine before upgrade.)

    2. "Server stats" through cpanel is broken
    3. Mailman is broken
    4. phpMyAdmin (as user) shows all db for all users (config file change)
    5. GD doesn't install/mail trace feature is broken
    6. Of course what I mention above..

As well as a few other oddities... not extremely serious of course. The biggest annoyance is the quota.. I've been trying to get that fixed forever... and have followed every suggestion in every post I can find regarding it.

It seems like support for cp & freebsd IS improving though. FreeBSD is an excellent WWW server and I hope they continue to grow their support.

    Mark,

I had the same problem with the "Quotas" and fixed it by enabling Quotas by compiling it into the kernel and it works for me now without any problems. If you need any help with this I can try to help you as best I can.

I believe someone started a thread a few days ago to try and list problems with FreeBSD and cPanel 7.x. It would be nice if all the FreeBSD users could come together in one thread and list problems/fixes so we can help each other out since cPanel does not see it as a priority to get us a RELEASE/STABLE version.
