Found documents in Japanese!!
Hi me again I've just found the full 160 page help documents translated in perfect Japanese if anyone would like them I'm then going to use these files to help me to translate the Cpanel into Japaneese. I hope to have it done by this week end.
I hope that it is possable to translate the Neomail into Japanese if so then which files do I need to traslate and where are these files located.

Did you get those files translated? If so, could you send me a copy? Do the programs available all work with the Japanese language? I'd hate to buy CPanel and then get stuck with mailing lists and whatnots that can't support Japanese.

If you do a search on www.yahoo.co.jp using "Nihongo" written in Japanese along with Cpanel, you will find many examples of sites with a Japanese Cpanel. In addition I've seen many of these sites using the same software and scripts all translated in Japanese as well with manuals too.
This is how I translated my Cpanel and all attached scripts & manuals.
I suggest taking a look at those site examples and modifying them to suit your needs. This will require knowledge of Japanese and the ability to write as well. Most of these sites are Japanese only.

I am also now looking for a re-sell web hosting account that is based in japan.
I am at present hosted with a company in the USA but I would like to change to a Japanese company or someone that lives here in Japan (Tokyo) so I can have better support etc.
I am now paying US$25 a month for hosting 1000 MB space.
If some one can give me that kind of deel in Japan I would like that so I don't want to pay more than Japanese Yen 3000 per month.
Please help.

I currently don't have a Japanese demo or manual online at my regular site. In Japan I host sites off a separate development server because I'm constantly tweaking settings for Japanese users such as modifying charsets and such.
I'm also currently working on a Japanese Xskin version because I have many users who would like to use something like this. I'll also be creating a manual for this as well. I'm kind of working on it page by page at the moment.
Here is a snapshot of the front page so far of the Japanese Xskin for Shift_JIS. The entire skin is not finished yet, but it's coming along I nicely I think.
I just don't see anything like this available anywhere so I'm having to write one up bit by bit.

The simple answer to your question is that the Doc's are written by someone else as I said in the very first post in this topic that?@ "I found them" I'm very sure that if the owner of the docs didn't want them copied then I'm sure he is more than able to put them all into a Protected directry since he didn't; I can't see why he wouldn't mind.
It took me less than 5 mins to find them in a search on Yahoo, anyone here could have done the same. You all asked for them after my offering them so here they are take'm or leave'm.

"I found them" followed by "if anyone would like them" sounded to me (and I'm sure to most everyone else) like you'd discovered an official translation by DarkOrb or at least by someone who was knowingly making it publicly available.
I find your reasoning akin to someone who has found a back door unlocked and then invites everyone to help themselves to whatever they want. I mean, gee, they must not mind about getting their possessions ripped off, or they would have locked the door, right?
Why don't you check with the owner of the translation and verify for us that he doesn't mind and then get back to us. I'm sure we'd all feel much better about using the translation (and about you) knowing that it isn't hot!

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Looks like you're off to a good start on the XSkin theme.
I originally contemplated simply translating a theme also but I found that all of the available themes are much more complex (and confusing) than I need or want so I'm trying to figure out a way to make a simpler theme with only the functionality I really need.

If anyone need help with the Japanese files you better do your own search try going too http://www.yahoo.co.jp/
Then maybe use the search string: Cpanel help
And then maybe they are listed at nomber 1

The link that you are referring to through Yahoo!Japan is obviously to the main index page of the CPanel help provided by that company for it's legitimate customers. The link you had provided was to the directory containing all of the files which is normally not intended for public consumption.
I agree that the directory should be protected if they don't want everyone getting in, just as I lock the door to my home to keep out burglars. I just don't think it is appropriate for anyone, especially here on a forum of people helping each other out, to point out a lapse of security and encourage others to borrow someone else's hard work without their knowledge. It's kind of like those sites that provide license keys and other cheats so that unscrupulous people can use software they haven't purchased.
Your removal of the link is a step in the right direction but I would further encourage you to contact the owner of the site and at the very least give him a heads up on his apparent security hole, and perhaps see if he is generous enough to share his translation with his competitors.
I certainly don't intend to discourage you or others from contributing to these forums. We all know how hard and time consuming it is to figure out this stuff on our own given the sparse (non-existent?) documentation, but let's try to maintain a level of dignity in how we help each other.

Actually Ed never asked you to copy the guy's work, and he never claimed the translation was his. He offered the link as a help to us. There is nothing wrong with that. And there is also nothing wrong with us using the other guy's translation to help us with ours. If we don't copy the thing word for word it's fine.
In all reality, however, the translation isn't copyrighted material even, so while we ethically probably shouldn't copy it out of respect for his hard work, legally we can copy it. Any of us could have found the website if we had used Yahoo (I was using Google and found a different site which has a better translation, so I would even suggest that one), so I think you're being just a little bit hard on Ed.
