Considering switching to a cPanel host and have a few basic questions.

Does cPanel offer "virtual URLs" so that when switching content from one host (using a different control panel) you can view the site(s) to make sure everything works before changing DNS?

I am also wondering how difficult it will be to "import" mySQL databases. I have a phpBB forum and I need to know how hard it will be to move it from one server the other.

Again, I am switching hosts and control panels (h-sphere).

Thanks for answering my newbie questions. :)

For testing: Just add an entry to your HOSTS file on your own computer to test the site on your new host.

If your old host has phpMyAdmin, then it is very easy. Just export and download the database tables from your other host and use phpMyAdmin on your new host's cPanel to recreate them.
