cPanel Access Level
DataCenter Provider
Hi,

I just setup a server computer in my home with a dedicated high-speed internet connection. I am not in a data center. I need to do a few things, but I don't know how.

1. I need to somehow have a cPanel for my main account, westcoast-web.com, so I can edit the files that show up when someone goes to this domain without having to log into root, and then

Code:
cd /usr/local/apache/htdocs
vi index.html
When I try to go to /https://www.westcoast-web.com/cpanel and use the root password, I get an "incorrect password" error. Is there a way to set up a cpanel account for the server itself? Or even get a GUI desktop on the server so I can go in and easily drag-and-drop the files I need for my main host?

I am getting WHMCS for the server. Will that let me setup a page at westcoast-web.com/index.html that will only give the plans and let people order?

2. Is there a way to add-on the .biz, .co, .net, .org, and .mobi URLs to go directly to the .com host? I don't know where these settings are for the main hostname. If I point those hostnames to my IP address, how would they resolve to the .com name?

3. Is it possible to setup an FTP-only account? Or even one with an informational html page that can't be changed, but the user can ftp into their account and manage folders, and upload and download their files?

I've searched for these in the documentation, but they either aren't there, or my mind has fried from the whole experience!
