A few Questions - Backup, Transfer, Mail

Hi Guys!

I have a couple of questions regarding Cpanel. (I have hosting, I'm not a reseller, so no root access etc);

1) I'm transferring servers, but when I try to transfer my SQL databases I have no luck.
I have tried importing directly, but had no luck ("No Privledges to create database" in MyPHPAdmin). Even after creating empy db's and adding the users to the db's I still cannot import. I have emailed my host but no response as yet..

2) Is it possible to back up only specific folders using Cpanel Backup option? I'm a bit of a noob, and don't have command line options, but would like to only back up say directory A & C, as opposed to A, B, C, D if I do a full backup.

3) Is it possible to create disposable email addresses (eg; [email protected], [email protected], etc etc or similar) using Cpanel. I need to get a grip on my SPAM problem..

I don't understand that... If you're a reseller, you won't have root access. If you AREN'T a reseller, you will have root access. Please clarify, so we know if we can give you SSH commands to work with.

Maybe you're saying that you have shared hosting, perhaps? If that's the case, I would recommend asking your host to transfer them for you, as most of them will do that.

I'm just a regular customer, not a seller..

Yes I think I share the server with others. And I did ask them, but they said they'd charge me to transfer the SQL dbs.

Hey,

If you go to your cPanel page. Go to Backups and do FULL CPANEL BACKUP. Once that is done, download it. When you are done with that, upload that file to your server and see the link in my sig, on Transfering accounts from one server to another. Go do the last step...
