That is most likely because your cPanel is upgraded to 11.38.1, isn't it?

See WHM-> Development -> Apps Managed by AppConfig

Hello :)

Yes, that message simply indicates those applications have been registered with AppConfig. That is normal behavior. You can find more information on AppConfig at:

cPanel AppConfig

Thank you.

Just an FYI

The notices cPanel sends in regards to AppConfig are sent with high priority, which means they end up being sent to the paging email if you've set it up in WHM. This is VERY bothersome as this isn't an emergency.

If you manage one server, not such a big deal. If you manage hundreds or thousands of servers these notices become a huge issue as you get hundreds of pages that are not emergency in nature, thus causing you issues in focusing on pages that may need more attention.

Sounds like there is not currently a way of disabling these pages. I've brought this to cPanel's attention and they've stated they have opened a case with their developers to fix it in future releases. Case 72025

This is driving me crazy as well, not to mention costing me a bundle in text messages. C'mon cPanel, this is NOT a high priority alert. We should either be able to change the priority or disable the emails. This is a HUGE problem!

This crap is waking me up five times a night, and I don't see how to change in in the contact manager.

Where is this thing set in contact manager so they stop hitting my pager?

Hey wizzy,

Their is no way at the moment to disable these pages from being sent via WHM. The tech that looked into the issue at cpanel even went so far as to disable all paging in contact manager and the pages still came through :)

Hopefully cPanel gets this fixed in the future.

I think the good news is that after all various hundreds of our servers sent out the pages of the apps being registered, we haven't received any further pages.

Internal case number 72025 was opened to address the issue with the AppConfig alert priority. Per this case, the default priority will be updated to "Medium", and it will be configurable within "Contact Manager" in WHM. There is currently no specific time frame on when this change will be implemented.

Thank you.

I also get this for every single server.

Would it no be enough to send the emails once? They are send several times a day, for every single server.

Very annoying. Once should more than enough to alert system admins.

Let's work on getting this expedited. I'm getting very irritated by the barrage of SMS notifications waking me up overnight when upcp is running on all of our servers. This was a horrible oversight in development.

Is there any update to this? I'm getting notified by SMS and email every night for this and it is quite annoying. Is there really no way to turn off the notifications?

The changes noted for case 72025 are scheduled for inclusion in the next 11.38.1 build.

Thank you.

Well here's a hint.

Pages occur when something updates. So what I did is I set a shell to login to each server and run a "manually check for updates for software XYZ" where XYZ is the thing paging.

So this forces all the updates to run now and all the AppConfig pages to roll in now, rather than 5am

It's currently scheduled for inclusion with cPanel version 11.38.1.14. You will see the case number in the change log when it's released:

Thank you.
