I've been experiencing an inordinate server load on a forum site I run. When I look at the CPU usage it is usually mySql that is the hog. Thing is, the load should not be slowing the server to a crawl. This is the PID that I always see as the culprit. /usr/sbin/mysqld--basedir=/--datadir=/var/lib/mysql--user=mysql--pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server1.sitenameremoved.com.pid--skip-locking Can anyone tell me if there is something different about that PID? any help will be greatly appreciated. If I can solve this server load problem I'll be willing to give a couple thousand banner impressions to the person who I deem responsible for the fix.
