    Hello,

Okay so I've been trying to connect to a SSH account for a cpanel user and I keep getting a permission denied error. It's a Jailed SSH account.

So I generated the SSH keys via CPanel, and downloaded them to my computer.

However I have no idea how to make terminal in OSX use those keys so I can connect to the server..

All the tutorials I find online is for using terminal to create keys locally but none explain how to import keys downloaded from something such as CPanel...

Does anyone have any idea what I do with the public and private keys I downloaded from CPanel in order to allow me to use terminal in OSX to connect to the server?

    Thank you in advance.

Awesome, got it to work. The reason the normal login password didn't work before was because I had to add the user to /etc/ssh/sshd_config .

However I also got the SSH Keys to work as well, by generating them on my computer instead and importing them via the CPanel interface.
