    Hi,

We've activated the SPAM box functionality and would like to see the spammed mailed. Have both tried IMAP account and Horde, but can't see any spammed messages or any SPAM box/folder.

Just wonder how can we access the spammed mails?

Looks like cPanel doesn't generate this mailbox automatically when you enable the Spam Box. So I just logged in to Horde webmail and created a mailbox called 'spam' and mail started flowing into it. I think all the spam piles up in the mail queue until this mailbox is created.

It does make the box. It's accessible in the Folders linkage. Really.

Well, it's not happening in my neck of the woods. The only 'spam' boxes I see are the ones I created. :(

    not here either

Well, I've looked everywhere and there is no spam box that I can find. The spam has stopped...but I don't see where it's going.
    Perhaps into a black hole.

I've looked via squirel mail, neomail, ssh and the file explorer.
    Nothing!

According to some posts, you can create the box, then spam will be routed to it. I have done this too, but still no mail in the boxes.

    What gives?

    Re: not here either

In Horde try clicking on the inbox, then folders on the top menu, Spam should show up in there.

With Squirrelmail I had to go to the Folders setup menu and underneath the create folder option there is subscribe/unsubscribe to folders. In that I subscribed to the spam folder that is shown.

No SPAM box created for me too. Now I'm waiting some spammers to work a bit and see if emails get stored in the SPAM box. Now that I need the spammers they seem to ignore me. :)

Finally, I found out, that for me works like this : it has to arrive the first spam email in order the "spam" folder to appear.

I'm still not seeing the folder.
I'm sure it's working, as I've received no spam in two days (compared to 40 a day normally), but when I look for the box, it just seems to not be there.

How do I do a search from ssh for the spam directory?

    Thanks

Yup, your correct. In order for the spam box to be created, it will have to have spam sent. You guys should check out squirrel mail and look for the email address's that have a spam box. I finally found them via squirrel mail. I couldn't find them via any other mail proggie.

I've tried that twice....stilll no success.
The mail must be going somewhere, because I'm not getting the normal 30 a day, but I can't see where. I suspect it's going into a blackhole.

I guess this is a cpanel issue.
I'm running cpanel 7.2.1-R45, which I think is current enough.

My cPanel has created the SPAM email box (can see it in horde) but it still delivers the spam to its original destination.

    Anyone any ideas ?

Want to change where SPAM is delivered

A "spam" folder is created in the default mailbox.

I'd rahter have SA drop SPAM into a mailbox, instead of a folder, so I can scan thru them with something like mailwasher before deleting them.

    Any ideas?
