I wonder if access to WHM/CPANEL without SSL will pose a security issue. Shall I secure it with SSL? If needed, how to do that? Is it meant to buy a SSL cert that is attached to the server hostname. I've no idea about it completely.

you may be ata risk if you access yoru whm without https. May be if you have couple of spywares your browser can be hijecked and you could be in trouble.

however a clean and safe system may let you access whm without any risks.

    Regards,

    SSL is needed then

Since I can't ensure that my computer/broswer is not infected with spyware, it seems that the best way is to access WHM with SSL. Do you know how to install it? When applying such SSL cert, what hostname should i use?
