When I'm in cpanel and go through the list of emails and try to access any email it makes me put in their password. Before it would just automatically login. I don't believe i changed any email settings or anything in VHM. Is there a setting that controls this so I can have it go back to automatically logging in. It does this on different browsers as well.

Thank you in advance.

Is it possible that in the past you logged into the default email account for a hosting account and then viewed the other mailboxes in the account within this (via symlinks)? AFAIK cPanel has always requested the password when logging into a sub-email account.

There is a tweak setting appropriate to the question however, "Mail authentication via domain owner password"

"This option allows you to specify whether the website owner’s password can be used to access any email address the owner created within the account. Click the button corresponding to the option you wish to select. This value defaults to Off. "

Hello :)

Yes, authentication is always required for individual email accounts. If you would like to use the password of the cPanel account itself for the individual email accounts, you can enable the "Mail authentication via domain owner password" option as mentioned in the previous post.

Thank you.

Thank you, that tweak worked perfectly! Not sure how it got disabled but it works now.
