I have a development environment that I use to host 2 websites. The server has both public and private IP and 1:1 NAT.

One site runs Drupal and I am able to access it by https://server-ip/~username without any issues.

The other site runs WordPress but I'm not able to access it by https://server-ip/username. It keeps taking me to the 404 page of the website. I have tried re-installing WordPress but still not working. I am able to browse to a resource, for instance an image at https://server-ip/~username/wp-content/uploads/....

Please assist

Hi @Loneweaver

Are the two separate sites running different versions of PHP or do they have a different PHP Handler? The tweak you're using is part of mod_userdir, you can manage it from WHM>>Security Center>>Apache Mod_userdir Tweak

Thanks!

This could also be caused by an .htaccess issue on your Wordpress install. Have you updated the primary domain listed in wordpress to https://server-ip/~username? This would also explain why you can access media files for example and not the home page of the site.

Here is a link to the Codex page from Wordpress on this as well: Changing The Site URL « WordPress Codex
