I've been trying to get my server to have full squirrelmail access directly using

    webmail.domain.com

however, no matter now i redirect the link, i still have to log in to cpanel first. before i can access squirrelmail

i want to set it up like this webmail.apdir.com

so that my users can access squirrelmail without going thru cpanel

    please help me!!!

also, hotmail seems to be rejecting my email both outgoing and incoming. have no idea whats going on there...

Going to domain.com/webmail will get you to the webmail login without being forced to login to the cPanel interface

As for hotmail, search these forums, there are many threads about that issue.

    when i use domain.com/webmail

it will only goto the cpanel login with a pop up asking for user/pw and not directly to the squirrelmail log in page.

    That's right.

SquirrelMail is just a script written in PHP. It's not an application, or a mail server by any means. It hooks into (either via Pop or Imap) to your running mail server after you set it up.

If you were trying to install two copies of Exim (the mail server) for example, then you would have a great problem.
