How do I access the web disk remotely in cpanel?

What I would like to do is to create uesers (i know how to do that) that can login from anywhere and view, edit, or add files. Currently you have to create a connection, but what the use of having users if they have to login to my cpanel and click the "access web disk" link.

Surely there is a way that the user can type a URL that would go to the disk where they could add, edit, or delete files, right?

I basically want it to be web based file server.

Thanks!

thank for the reply.

What you are suggesting does not allow users to upload files, just view them.

If anybody has else has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

WebDav? I'm not familiar with that, but I like where your going because I am so close.

Can you give me more information about where to download, install, or read up on WebDav?

Thanks!

For some operating systems, you download a script via the cPanel interface that automates the setup of WebDav for you. In such scenarios, simply download that script for the appropriate WebDav user and distribute as necessary.

Note, for Windows Vista, I highly recommend downloading the recommended patch. It will make the experience of using WebDav on that OS significantly better.
