account creation not emailing owners

    Good day all,
    Fairly new to cpanel/WHM. Weird problem. I have created 2 packages, no problems there. When I create an account I put in the contact email, yet cpanel doesnt email the address when the account is created. what am I doing wrong?

    WHM does not email the customer you have to email them your self, WHM has never had this feature, to tell the truth i don't know why!!!

    You need a postwwwacct script to automatically email the user. You need root access to use a postwwwacct script. If you have root access, take a look at my scripts. (cPanel/WHM scripts in sig)

    Thank you, I will take a look at it. as I ahve a reseller account i do not have root access. would I put it into the cgi-bin directory then?

    A postwwwacct script has to be in the servers /scripts/ directory and as a reseller you won't have access to that.
