I need to add a feature to the Cpanel for an account. The Package associated with this user account in WHM is "undefined". The account has multiple sub-domains and mySQL database in production. Can assigning a package to this account in Account Modify in WHM affect any thing that has been set up in the Cpanel and is running live?

I’ve gotten “undefined” packages when transferring from other servers. When I changed them to one of our defined packages nothing gets broken unless something like their number of email accounts, MySQL databases or HDD storage is more than what is defined in the new package.

No that wont actually cause any issues to the already present stuff in the account.. However, it may affect the future operations like for example, if you have modified the account to have 3 subdomains and that you already have 4 subdomains present in the account, the 4 subdomain will stay as it is, but 5th one will not be added.. I guess this is what happens..

Hello,

The previous posts are correct. For instance, let's say an account has 5 MySQL databases, and you then assign the account a package that only allows 1 MySQL databases. The existing MySQL databases will continue to exist and function normally, but you won't be able to add any new databases.

The parameters that can affect usability are disk space and bandwidth. If the account exceeds it's disk space or bandwidth, then you may encounter error messages (though note that existing data isn't deleted).

Thank you.
