Account setup query

Hi...I'm a 2 hour newbie and have just created my 1st account!. The following snippet is in the report:

ndc: connect: connection refused
chown: root.proftpd: invalid group
Ftp Password Files synced

Does this mean there is something wrong?.

Is this linux or freebsd cpanel?

Linux.

I had someone else uninstall ensim and install cpanel. I also had bastille linux installed that he said probably screwed up permissions on my box .

I'm thinking of getting a newcompaq dl320 with a plain redhat 7.2 install, this should be ok I hope?.
